Reflection: Light in the Darkness
Sunlight piercing the clouds always feels like a God wink, a reminder that in my darkest moments, you are with me.
At my loneliest, I am seen.
At my most unknowing, I am still known.
At my most lost, I am yet found.
Because you are omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent.
But I am not.
In lonely moments, I question your presence.
In uncertain times, I question your promise.
In unfair situations, I question your process.
The light only pierces one way.
You see through clouds that I don’t.
You continue to shine even as I protest the rain.
On the other side of my experience lies your glory.
It’s only a matter of time.
Today let me celebrate the sunshine I cannot yet see.
The storm won’t last forever.
